Black outlines & softer details
The outlines are opaque black so you can color neatly the main areas. The details are softened, you can go over those lines which have some transparency.
This landscape is inspired by South of France Christmas scenes. As a kid (and I am still is inside) I was always mesmerized by the miniature scenes, so many fun details to notice!
Those scale model builds often depict the land and life of the rural life around the Nativity.
In this line art the Christmas tree seems huge and it is the sole element indicating the time of the year. Indeed, the perennial and evergreen flora of the Garrigue makes this type of landscape looking out of time, as if it wasn’t much affected by the passing seasons.
